Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and blueprints.
  • Cut, bend, shape, and install steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh.
  • Secure steel bars using binding wire, clips, and other methods.
  • Install rebar in footings, slabs, beams, columns, and walls.
  • Ensure alignment, spacing, and positioning of steel reinforcements as per approved drawings.
  • Use hand and power tools such as rebar cutters, benders, and tying tools.
  • Coordinate with formwork and concreting teams to ensure proper reinforcement placement.
  • Follow all safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in material handling and site housekeeping as needed.
  • Report work progress, material needs, or issues to the site supervisor.
