Core duties and responsibilities

- Surveillance and monitoring: Actively watch over a designated area, which includes monitoring CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect unusual activity or security breaches.
- Patrolling and inspection: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the premises to check for potential risks, monitor entry and exit points, and ensure all doors, windows, and gates are secure.
- Access control: Control who enters and exits the property by checking identification, verifying authorization, and managing visitor logs.
- Emergency response: Act as a first responder to alarms, fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents, which includes assisting with evacuations and calling emergency services like police or fire departments.
- Crime prevention: Deter criminal activity by being a visible presence, enforcing rules, and taking appropriate action to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.
- Reporting and documentation: Write detailed incident reports, maintain accurate logs of daily activities, and document any irregularities, damage, or unusual occurrences.
- Enforcing rules and regulations: Ensure that individuals follow the specific rules and regulations of the property, such as company policies or building codes.
- Customer service: Assist employees and visitors by answering questions, providing directions, and offering general aid while on duty.
