Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain project schedules using planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
• Plan and monitor project progress, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare detailed plate nesting layouts to optimize material utilization and minimize waste.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and coordinate with design and production teams for layout accuracy.
• Support preparation of cutting plans and monitor material usage against project estimates.
• Assist in preparing work orders, fabrication sequences, and material requirement plans.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of materials.
• Identify project delays or bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and documentation standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in project planning, preferably in steel fabrication or metal works industry.
• Hands-on experience in plate nesting software (e.g., SigmaNEST, NestFab, or similar).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera for project scheduling.
• Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, materials, and production processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
