The Well Control Specialist shall be responsible for providing professional well control support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate well control response activities, including kick detection, well kill operations, blowout prevention, and well capping procedures.
• Develop and maintain Well Control Programs, Risk Assessments (HIRA), Well Control Contingency Plans, and Post-Incident Reports in collaboration with the Company’s Drilling and HSE teams.
• Perform pressure modeling, kick tolerance, and hydraulics analysis using approved engineering software and field data.
• Immediately report and document any well control incidents or abnormalities, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented.

Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling, workover, or well intervention operation.

Proven field experience in HP/HT, H2S, MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling), and emergency well control operations.

Strong knowledge of BOP systems, choke manifold operation, and well kill methodologies (Driller’s Method, Wait & Weight, Concurrent, Volumetric, and Bullheading).

Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, incident analyses, and contingency plans in a structured and professional manner.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams during emergency response.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).
