Overview of the role:
To perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services on equipment and vehicles in line with company standards, ensuring reliability, safety, and peak performance. The Service Technician plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency by delivering top-quality technical service while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality procedures.
What you will do:
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on all BYD vehicles.
• Complete and maintain check sheets and detailed vehicle write-ups on repair orders.
• Identify and report any additional work required after completing the EVHC.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and technology to perform basic checks and electronic inspections.
• Ensure zero repeat repairs through accurate troubleshooting and quality workmanship.
• Strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and advocacy.
• Achieve productivity and efficiency targets as assigned.
• Manage time effectively to ensure all scheduled work is completed within the specified time.
• Demonstrate punctuality and discipline in every task.
• Handle all special tools and equipment responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
• Uphold all Health & Safety standards and ensure safe working practices are consistently followed.
Skills
Required skills to be successful:
• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
• Proven technical expertise in independent servicing, repairs, and component replacement.
• Basic diagnostic knowledge in identifying mechanical and electronic faults.
• Hands-on experience in servicing EV or Hybrid vehicles is essential.
What equips you for the role:
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of EV / Hybrid systems.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to customers in a clear and professional manner.
