- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documents, and records.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead) and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze cost movements and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing cost-related data and insights.
- Evaluate and update standard costing periodically.
- Prepare cost statements, profit analysis, and management reports.
- Support inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / BBA).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in cost accounting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel & Tally, etc. and costing modules.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
