We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the civil engineering sector. Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and financial reporting to track project expenditures against budgets.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, negotiating contracts, and selecting subcontractors.
- Review and analyze construction drawings and specifications to identify potential cost implications.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding financial status and forecasts.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors and support their professional development.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting financial reports and addressing any concerns related to costs.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a minimum of 12 years in the civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials, along with relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
