We are looking for an experienced Welder with proven expertise in the fabrication, assembly, and welding of machinery and piping used in oil and gas and industrial projects. The role involves working in a workshop or fabrication yard environment, ensuring high-quality welds that meet international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on pressure vessels, pipelines, and structural components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Weld materials using MIG, TIG, SMAW, and ARC methods depending on project needs.
- Conduct fit-up, alignment, and tack-welding prior to final welding.
- Ensure all welding meets ASME and company quality standards.
- Inspect and repair welds for defects using visual or non-destructive testing methods.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in optimal condition.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures in the yard/workshop.
Skills
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a welder in oil and gas / industrial fabrication.
- Must have valid approval/certification to perform work according to:
- ASME BPVC Section – Pressure Vessels and Heating Boilers
- ASME B31.3 – Process Piping
- ASME B31.1 – Power Piping (Steam & Hot Water)
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Knowledge of materials, metals, and welding processes.
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
