Job Details


Your Role

  • Provide comprehensive specialist-level care in Ophthalmology, including diagnosis and management of eye diseases and injuries
  • Perform vision testing, prescribe glasses/contact lenses, and conduct corrective surgeries (e.g., cataract removal, corneal repair)
  • Manage outpatient and emergency eye clinics
  • Prescribe and administer medications, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Counsel patients on treatment options, medications, and preventive eye care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in clinical audits, CME, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Engage in research and educational activities within the department

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • DHA-licensed Specialist in Ophthalmology
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Minimum 5+ years of specialist-level experience post-qualification
  • Skilled in all aspects of Ophthalmology, with a patient-first mindset
  • Confident in building a patient base or bringing an existing following
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to clinical excellence
  • Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly regarded


Skills

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • MBBS or MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Completion of specialty qualification recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE
  • Excellent communication and computer literacy skills
