HSE Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, implement, and enforce all Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures across job sites.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Identify potential hazards and provide practical solutions to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation including incident reports, permit-to-work systems, and safety logs.
  • Conduct toolbox talks (TBT), safety training, and awareness sessions for workers and staff.
  • Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, and workers to ensure safe operating practices.
  • Support investigations of accidents or near-misses and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, local authority requirements, and industry-specific HSE regulations.
  • Assist in preparing safety reports for management review.

Skills

Requirements:

  • Mandatory: NEBOSH IGC (or higher) Certification.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of industrial site experience (marine, construction, manufacturing, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of UAE HSE standards and legal requirements.
  • Ability to lead safety briefings and communicate clearly with diverse workforces.
  • Good reporting, documentation, and incident investigation skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in fast-paced environments.
