Job Summary:
We are hiring an Inventory Controller for a reputable restaurant in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage and monitor inventory operations including daily stock movements, storage conditions, and reporting. This role involves working closely with the purchasing, kitchen, and finance teams and reports directly to the Restaurant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record daily stock transactions including receiving, transfers, and wastage.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Track expiry dates and coordinate with kitchen and purchasing for optimal usage.
- Classify and label all items properly and maintain stockroom cleanliness.
- Prepare weekly/monthly consumption and variance reports.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and wastage and report to management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inventory data in the system.
- Collaborate with chefs, purchasing, and finance to forecast needs and avoid shortages.
Skills
Job Requirements:
- 2–3 years’ experience in inventory/storekeeping in hospitality or F&B.
- High attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of food handling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Familiarity with inventory software or POS systems.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
