Job Summary The FM Operations Manager will oversee all facilities management operations within an aviation environment, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and service continuity. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a wide range of airport-related services across terminals, hangars, airside/landside areas, and administrative facilities.Key Responsibilities1. Facilities Operations Management Manage daily FM operations across airport facilities, ensuring smooth functioning of MEP, civil works, HVAC, fire & life safety, baggage handling systems, and other aviation infrastructure. Ensure service delivery meets aviation safety standards, SLAs, and KPIs.2. Safety, Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with GCAA, ICAO, IATA, and airport regulations. Oversee safety protocols, risk assessments, audits, and emergency procedures.3. Vendor & Contract Management Manage outsourced vendors for maintenance, cleaning, security, pest control, landscaping, and specialized aviation services. Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.4. Team Leadership & Workforce Management Lead multicultural teams of supervisors, technicians, engineers, and soft services staff. Delegate tasks, manage workflow, and provide coaching, training, and performance management.5. Maintenance Planning & Asset Management Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across airport assets. Ensure proper documentation, asset lifecycle management, and reduced downtime.6. Budgeting & Cost Control Support OPEX planning, cost optimization, and resource allocation.7. Stakeholder Coordination Act as a key liaison with airport authorities, airlines, ground handling, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.8. Emergency & Incident Management Lead FM response efforts during incidents and participate in emergency drills.9. Reporting & Documentation Prepare reports on operations, assets, incidents, and compliance for audits and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Aviation Management, or similar.8–12 years of FM experience, including 3–5 years in aviation facilities. Strong understanding of MEP systems, airport operations, safety regulations, and CMMS/CAFM systems. Experience managing large-scale airport facilities is preferred.Skills Required Essential Strong command of English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Technical and practical experience in large airport facility maintenance. Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multicultural teams and deliver results under pressure. Knowledge of FM operational processes, manpower coordination, workflow management, and stakeholder liaison. Strong leadership, delegation, mentoring, and team development capabilities. Customer service awareness and soft skills. Preferred Knowledge of ISO standards and HSE. Experience with PLB (Passenger Loading Bridges) and APM (Automatic People Mover) systems. Ability to manage time effectively and maintain quality under pressure. Strong understanding of safe systems of work.
