Job Summary:
A Welder is responsible for joining, cutting, and repairing metal parts using various welding techniques and equipment. The role requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to read technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored)
- Weld metal components according to specifications
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and strength
- Cut, grind, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding
- Maintain tools and welding equipment in safe working condition
- Follow safety procedures and wear required protective gear
- Work with supervisors or team members to complete projects on time
