Job Summary
A Ductman installs, maintains, and repairs ductwork used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. They ensure air flows properly through buildings to provide safe and comfortable indoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install metal or flexible ductwork
- Assemble duct sections and secure them in place
- Seal joints and connections to prevent air leaks
- Read and follow HVAC drawings and layout plans
- Assist with maintenance and repair of existing duct systems
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Follow workplace safety rules and building codes
- Work with HVAC technicians and construction teams
