The Jewellery CAD Designer is responsible for creating accurate and production-ready CAD designs for gold and diamond jewellery. The role involves translating concepts, sketches, and references into technically sound designs that meet manufacturing standards, cost targets, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed CAD designs for gold and diamond jewellery
- Convert hand sketches, reference images, or concepts into 3D CAD models
- Prepare designs suitable for casting, stone setting, and finishing
- Ensure correct stone sizes, settings, wall thickness, and weight control
- Revise designs based on feedback from clients, sales, or production teams
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain organized CAD files and design documentation
- Meet design timelines and production schedules
Skills
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Jewellery CAD software (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, ZBrush, etc.)
- Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of stone setting techniques (prong, pavé, micro, bezel, etc.)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple designs
Experience & Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Jewellery Design / CAD preferred
- 2+ years experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer (FRP experience is a plus)
- Experience with gold and diamond jewellery

- Deliver production-ready CAD files with minimal revisions
- Ensure designs are technically feasible and cost-efficient
