Overview Of The Role:
The ECOM & Marketplace Specialist is responsible for supporting the ECOM Manager in enhancing trading and merchandising efforts across various categories for the Toys R Us website and marketplace. The role involves generating an augmented customer experience, developing the Toys R Us brand image, and ensuring a unique digital consumer experience. Success in this role depends on driving financial targets, managing product content with utmost accuracy, assisting in strategic reporting and analysis, and fostering strong relationships with internal teams and partners.
What You Will Do:
Sales and Merchandising
- Drive financial targets including sales, cash margin, and margin percentage.
- Manage merchandise and trading of e-store/marketplace to maximize cross & up-selling, conversion, and revenue while managing stock levels.
- Ensure accurate stock, pricing, pictures and offers across all marketplace platforms.
Product Management
- Ensure daily/weekly management of products going live with 100% accuracy of product content and assets.
- Identify slow-performing products and apply corrective measures.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of product updates.
Analysis and Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports/analysis, highlighting opportunities and risks.
- Identify and resolve marketplace rejections with stores and partners.
- Conduct weekly/monthly competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
Marketing and Promotion
- Support the execution of the marketing and promotional plan, including emails, social media, and homepage content.
- Assist in delivering marketing plans and evaluating promotional activities.
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and business partners.
- Communicate effectively within the team to ensure correct and timely execution of plans

- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to produce trade reports and analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office with strong knowledge of other digital tools.
- Ability to learn new technology quickly.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising, ideally within a multi-channel retailer or pure play environment.
- Excellent skills in site merchandising and product content management.
- Experience in handling negotiations and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
