Position title: Welder / Fabricator – Workshop
Location: Sajja Industrial Area, Sharjah
Main purpose:
Responsible for cutting, joining, and repairing metal parts and structures using different welding processes, following drawings and safety standards in the workshop.
Key duties and responsibilities:Read and understand drawings, measurements, and job cards to plan welding and fabrication work.
Set up welding machines and select correct electrodes/wire and parameters (ARC/MIG/TIG as available in workshop).
Perform welding on plates, pipes, and fabricated parts in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead) as per requirement.
Cut, grind, and prepare material using oxy‑fuel, cutting machines, and grinders before welding.
Fabricate and assemble parts for booms, buckets, brackets, frames, and other industrial machinery components.
Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools; repair defects like porosity, undercut, or misalignment.
Use basic workshop machines and tools (drill, press, bending, shearing) when required to complete fabrication work.
Follow all safety rules, use proper PPE, and keep work area clean and organized.
Maintain welding machines, leads, and tools in good working condition and report any faults to supervisor.
Requirements:Minimum 2–3 years welding/fabrication experience in workshop or construction environment.
Ability to read simple fabrication drawings and use measuring tools (tape, vernier, square).
Good understanding of welding safety and safe work practices.
Welding trade certificate or test pass is preferred but not mandatory.
