Job Summary

The role of Product Manager, Supply Chain Finance is pivotal in steering the growth and development of the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) business across the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa (MEPA) region. This person will hold accountability for understanding the nuanced trade environments within these territories, leveraging insights into both international and domestic trade dynamics to strategically size and capture market opportunities for Trade Services within Standard Chartered’s footprint.




Responsibilities extend to the crafting of comprehensive customer value propositions that respond to evolving client needs and are designed to drive revenue growth for the SCF product suite. The role demands proactive competitor and regulatory intelligence gathering, ensuring that the business stays ahead in a competitive landscape through periodic competitor analyses.




Strategically, the role requires articulating robust tactical and longer-term business plans aimed at maximizing revenue while aligning closely with customer requirements. The individual will lead the development and implementation of annual operating plans, balancing short-term financial results with sustainable medium-term growth objectives.




Financial and commercialization stewardship over a portfolio of trade products falls within scope, including management of revenue and cost to deliver on agreed profit and loss targets. This also includes ongoing review of pricing, service quality, and marketing initiatives to optimize the SCF offering in the UAE and wider MEPA markets.




Operationally, the Product Manager will collaborate on local marketing strategies and campaigns, supporting effective structuring, pricing, and rollout of trade solutions. They will be responsible for the timely communication of market updates and product performance through comprehensive reporting mechanisms.




Adherence to the established risk management frameworks is essential, ensuring all activities align with corporate governance and compliance requirements. This multifaceted role requires a combination of deep market understanding, strategic insight, financial acumen and operational excellence to drive the success of Supply Chain Finance at Standard Chartered.



Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in Supply Chain Finance (Supplier Finance, Distributor Finance, Receivable Purchase)

  • Digital and Platform Proficiency

  • Experience in Multinational Bank is preferrable

  • Arabic Speakers are preferred.

  • Excellent stakeholder Management.
