We are looking for an experienced Energy, Water & Waste Manager to lead utilities efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and decarbonization programs across a complex, asset-intensive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Sustainability
Develop and deliver annual energy, water, and waste reduction programmes Drive cost savings against agreed energy and water targets Support Net Zero and carbon reduction strategies, including emissions tracking and reporting Develop carbon reduction initiatives aligned with national and international sustainability frameworks Implement waste reduction, recycling, and water reuse initiatives (greywater, condensate recovery, rainwater harvesting) Align utilities programs with ISO standards (ISO 50001 Energy Management, ISO 55001 Asset Management) Identify and implement renewable energy and innovative utilities solutions
Data, Analysis & Audits
Analyze performance data from BMS/SCADA, HVAC systems, chiller plants, lighting, pumps, and irrigation systems Optimize chilled water systems and cooling towers to reduce energy and water losses Monitor utilities consumption and identify trends, root causes, and efficiency opportunities Conduct energy and water audits and lead Measurement & Verification (M&V) of savings Track water intensity, recycled water usage, and carbon emissions metrics
Projects & Delivery Prepare business cases and proposals for efficiency and sustainability projects Lead project delivery including scope development, BOQs/specifications, vendor evaluation, risk & change control, and commissioning Manage service providers and contractors to deliver energy, water, and waste initiatives Ensure energy- and water-efficient systems are maintained for optimal performance
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement Prepare regular reports on utilities performance, savings, and sustainability outcomes Produce carbon emissions inventories and support Net Zero and ESG reporting Work closely with internal teams, service providers, utilities authorities, and external stakeholders Lead sustainability awareness and engagement campaigns across the site
What We’re Looking For
Experience
7–10+ years’ experience in utilities, energy, or sustainability management Proven track record of delivering measurable energy, water, or carbon savings Experience in aviation, facilities management, or large infrastructure environments preferred
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering, or related discipline Postgraduate qualification in Energy, Sustainability, or Facilities Engineering is an advantage
Technical & Professional Skills Strong knowledge of MEP systems, central plant, BMS, HVAC, and water systems Solid understanding of ISO 50001, energy management, and asset management principles Strong analytical, reporting, and financial evaluation skills (payback, NPV, IRR) Confident communicator able to present technical and business cases to senior stakeholders
