Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of a luxury private members club, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making. This role ensures the club’s financial integrity and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality, and member-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop, manage, and monitor the club’s annual budget, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Provide detailed financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance club profitability.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for management and the board.
- Maintain compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage banking relationships and ensure secure handling of funds.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all financial transactions.
Cost Control & Revenue Oversight
- Implement financial controls to optimize operational costs without compromising member experience.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage budgets and monitor expenses across F&B, events, and club operations.
- Analyze revenue streams, including membership fees, events, F&B, and other services, to identify opportunities for growth.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, financial regulations, and local laws.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies while preserving the club’s reputation and privacy.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and discretion.
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with club goals and member expectations.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in luxury hospitality, private clubs, or high-end service environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
