Job Description 


Key Leadership role, responsible for shaping and implementing the strategy for NEO segment and for driving the roadmap across all markets (UAE, Egypt, Pakistan). Role also leads NEO geographic expansion into new markets.  


  • Role has full responsibility for leading profitable growth and delivering agreed financial results (number of customers, balance sheet, P&L) for NEO segment across markets. 


  • Within operating countries the role manages clients’ acquisition through own channels, delivering budgeted numbers within agreed STP and CPA and leads the build of state-of-the-art onboarding journey.


  • The role leads all client value management initiatives for NEO segment and is responsible increasing NEO clients’ engagement, leveraging personalization at scale to create value for the client and for the bank. 


  • The role identifies industry, consumer and technology trends and innovation opportunities, leading the build of NEO Digital Proposition, including financial and non-financial offering, built internally or in collaboration with external partners (e.g., Fintechs)

Key Result Areas


  • Develop innovative digital banking propositions (including banking and beyond banking products and services)  that are customer centric and profitable for the bank to enhance Mashreq’s status as a leader in Digital Space.
  • Use introduction of Open Finance to support NEO Growth 
  • Enhance customer experience and accelerate profitable growth through advance use of AI (ML, Gen AI, Agentic AI) 
  • Lead the design and build customer journeys to deliver superior customer experience.
  • Exceed annual customer acquisition, revenue, and profitability targets for the Neo segment across markets. 
  • Be a subject matter expert across all aspects of Digital Banking and Digital Transformation.
  • Spearhead Mashreq’s expansion plans and lead Neo introduction in new markets.
  • Lead X- Functional Teams to deliver challenging business and Digital priorities. 
  • Be a key decision maker in building Digital & Banking infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


  • 20+ years in Consumer Banking with an in-depth understanding of Digital Banking and Digital Business.
  • 10 years in leadership roles, with P&L accountability, running/owning a business line.
  • Experience in working across various markets, both in local organizations and in global / regional headquarters.
  • Postgraduate degree, preferably in Business.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand the “big picture” and align tactical goals with strategic ones.
  • Ability to quickly identify and position the business for change, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to lead teams and deliver targets in a challenging and competitive environment.
  • Ability to ensure all activities are conducted in line with the missions/vision, business objectives, and regulatory controls expected by the organization. 
  • Experienced in C-level engagement.
