JOB PURPOSE:


Supervise, plan and execute ADNOC Group’s communication activities and strategies relating to the Ghasha Concession in order to promote their activities and brand including increasing awareness and enhancing visibility and reputation. Represents Ghasha Concession and participates in the compilation of information related to the concession/projects, Upstream Business line, ADNOC or the Oil & Gas industry for further developing customized communication solutions for improving visibility and brand reputation.  


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Job Specific Accountabilities


  • Assist in the design, development and approval of communication materials, in alignment with the strategy narrative, using the best channels in order to ensure promotion of ADNOC’s brand.
  • Supervise or create written deliverables including newsletters, issue briefs, blog pieces, and reports and ensure communications deliverables adhere to brand identity standards. Ensure the consistent and accurate delivery of key business messages to the defined internal audiences.
  • Identify key issues in the implementation of business lines communications on an ongoing basis, assist in the development of specific communication plans where necessary, and ensure that these issues are appropriately included in relevant regular communications activities for resolution.
  • Supervise production of posters, flyers, brochures, web pages, etc. related to corporate events and communications programs including arranging promotional gifts, incentives and sponsorship as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present materials including corporate film production, intranet and web site content and conference speeches for senior management, in order to convey key messages and new developments.
  • Identify and assist in the development of additional communication channels and tools with the objective of ensuring that key messages are delivered efficiently and effectively and provide advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of communications, events and projects.
  • Act as principal liaison with other Business Line Directorates/Business Partners and corporate functions to deliver key communications projects and optimize opportunities wherever communications initiative/story can be applied to a wider external audience.
  • Build a network of contacts within ADNOC/ Upstream; to research and collect information on developments, initiatives and successes within related Group Companies/ assets and Services, in order to promote them through a range of media for brand development and improving visibility.
  • Supervise maintenance of databases, audiences, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders relating to Business Lines communication events. Initiate research, booking and managing venues, speakers, presenters, trainers and entertainment, equipment and suppliers, and managing contractors such as caterers and security.
  • Monitor and researches perceptions of internal audiences to campaigns, and communications outputs.
  • Liaise with business functions to understand communication requirements and industry specifications in order to support achievement of business function’s objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant external/internal entities while promptly attending to all critical issues in order to ensure the requirements are delivered in the most effective manner.
  • Initiate self-learning through various research, project discussions meetings etc. and actively develops skills, gain exposure to basic communications functions including event management, sponsorship activation, media relations, CSR, etc. in order to provide effective support to the achievement of function objectives.
  • Coordinate with Ghasha Concession Holders communication focal points as needed
  • Coordinate with Contractors communication focal points as needed
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets


  • Provide input for preparation of the Function / Divisional budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

  • Implement approved Function / Divisional policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management


  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function / Division in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement


  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability


  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports


  • Provide inputs to prepare progress reports for Company Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills


  • 15 years of experience, in progressive and senior-level roles in corporate communications within an oil and gas industry or in a large-scale organization with complex and mult
