Engineering & Design
• Develop grillage and sea-fastening designs, including steel structures, load‑spreading arrangements, and securing components for project cargo.
• Prepare structural calculations, FEM analyses, and design reports according to required engineering standards.
• Review cargo drawings, COGs, load cases, and provide optimized engineering solutions for safe marine transport.
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings, material specifications, and construction guidelines for workshops and vendors.
Project Support & Execution
• Support project teams during loadout, lifting, securing, and discharge operations, providing on‑site engineering supervision where required.
• Conduct structural inspections of fabricated materials to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements, transport engineering studies, and risk assessments.
Compliance & Technical Assurance • Ensure all engineering solutions comply with Class, Flag, and international marine and structural standards.
• Liaise with classification societies for design approval, engineering submissions, and follow-up of comments and revisions.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, company procedures, and project‑specific requirements.
Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate closely with internal teams—operations, HSE, commercial, fabrication, and procurement.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly to clients, subcontractors, shipyards, and workshop teams.
• Support tender engineering by preparing preliminary concepts, estimates, and technical clarifications.
Documentation & Compliance • Prepare project execution reports, progress updates, daily logs, and completion summaries.
• Monitor project schedules, identify risks or delays, and propose mitigation measures.
• Track project costs and contribute to budget planning and cost‑control activities.
Operational Optimization
• Support continual improvement by identifying operational bottlenecks and proposing process enhancements.
• Coordinate with commercial and technical teams on lessons learned and improvements for future projects.
Engineering Support • Provide engineering support to the Business Units (modification of the vessels, Rules and regulations compliance, etc.).
• Assisting the line manager in any other technical related tasks whenever required.
Job Profile (Internal)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine/Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strucural design/marine operations, transport & installation, or heavy lift/deck carrier projects..
Job-Specific Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical, communication, decision-making, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multimodal transport chains and complex project environments
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Excellent English language skills, with additional languages preferable
• Self-motivated, driven and with attention to detail
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for port calls, loadouts, and project operations.
• Strong competency in structural design tools (e.g., STAAD, SACS, ANSYS, Autodesk products, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience with grillage/sea-fastening, loadout engineering, and structural verification of heavy cargo.
• Experience working with deck carriers/barges or module transport vessels.
• Familiarity with DNV, ABS, LR, or comparable classification societies.
• Knowledge of IMO standards, relevant offshore transport engineering guidelines, and marine warranty surveyor (MWS) requirements.
