Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for all catering and group sales in the hotel, from booking events to their execution
• Assist Asst. Director of Groups & Events Manager and DOS to prepare departmental budget and forecasts, operating within set parameters, ensure effective cost control
• To establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, throughout and post-conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
• Conduct site inspections and sales activities as required.
• To work closely with the Superiors to prepare monthly forecasts
• To develop the annual business and marketing plan for the department
• Achieves Banquet and Catering budgeted set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Superiors
JOB REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in Groups & Events within a luxury/5-star hotel (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, MICE, and group room management with a proactive approach
• Proficiency in Opera PMS (or similar systems) and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership abilities
• Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays as required
