Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to provide strategic counsel on communications and media strategy, with a strong emphasis on content, messaging, and positioning. This is a six-month project-based role requiring exceptional writing and advisory skills. The candidate will be responsible for guiding clients on content strategies—such as thought leadership initiatives—and contributing to broader communication activities, including speechwriting, media relations, and media briefings. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter capable of working closely with clients to create and execute communications campaigns. They must be able to lead small teams. A good media contacts book and experience in fintech, FMCG and healthcare sectors are a plus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on positioning strategies.
- Develop compelling messaging and narratives.
- Write and edit a wide range of materials, including press releases, media invites, Q&As, speeches, op-eds, and features.
- Work alongside executives, ministers, and other senior figures to boost executive profiles.
- Create comprehensive media plans and communication campaigns.
- Assess media opportunities, including interviews, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of innovative concepts and services for both clients and the organization.
- Lead content activities at high-paced events.
- Contribute to growing accounts.
Ad-Hoc Assignments
- Perform other duties as requested by the Direct Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in literature, journalism, or communications.
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience in a consulting firm, corporate role, diplomatic post, or media organization.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven ability to produce error-free, media-ready content.
- Strong understanding of local, regional, and global current affairs, with sensitivity to geopolitical contexts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Candidate must be based in Dubai.
