Job Summary

Join Standard Chartered as an Associate in BBD Non-Flow Sales for the AME region, a pivotal role focused on fostering deep engagement with Financial Institution clients, primarily banks within the Middle East and Africa. Situated in Dubai, this role concentrates on major markets including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Southern Africa, aiming to build and sustain strategic client relationships tailored to Non-Flow product offerings.



As a key member of the sales team, you will spearhead the origination and distribution of asset and liability side collateralized transactions, closely collaborating with Flow Repo and Structured Credit desks to optimize client solutions. Your expert knowledge will extend to distributing Credit and XVA products in both direct and synthetic forms, contributing to the bank's overall growth in these specialized areas.



This role offers a dynamic and highly collaborative environment where strategic thinking meets execution, providing opportunities to drive innovative financing structures, including Shariah-compliant Islamic finance products, alongside conventional credit solutions. Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Originate & execute Structured Credit and Financing Business (inclusive of vanilla flow repo business) for the bank.
•    All axes - such as bids on special collateral, news and research to be distributed in a timely, orderly manner.
•     Make sure enquiries received and processed asap, tactfully uncover any patterns/cycles for trade enquiries.
•    Build up structured credit and financing solutions on the Islamic front - in addition to the conventional space.
•    Develop our business in line with internal and External requirements.
•    Awareness and understanding of the firm’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
Business
•    Responsible for delivering team and individual budgets for Non-Flow Credit Sales. Responsible for delivering the Bank’s Non-Flow Credit Business (inclusive of vanilla flow repo business) across the MENAP institutional client base.
•    Actively engage with Credit Structuring and Trading to facilitate optimum coverage and revenues target.
Processes
•    Adhere to compliance and processes, procedures governing the FM Sales role.
•    Engage with Clients and execute trades and orders in line with Standard Chartered’s policy and procedures consistent with all FM Sales, including Best Execution and Order Handling. 
•    Ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processed to be efficient, appropriate, and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external regulations

Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate comprehensive experience and skills in the following areas:



  • Business Markets & Institutional Client Coverage: Strong understanding of the financial institutions' landscape within Middle East, Africa, and MENAP regions, with proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Product Knowledge: Expertise in Structured Credit products, asset and liability financing structures, flow repo transactions, and both conventional and Islamic finance solutions.
  • Cross-Selling Abilities: Skillful in identifying opportunities across various product lines to deliver integrated solutions addressing client needs.
  • Financial Risk Management: Deep understanding of credit risk, market risk aspects including XVA, and regulatory capital impacts on financing transactions.
  • Sales Excellence: Demonstrated success in managing sales cycles, executing transactions, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Regulatory Environment Awareness: Up-to-date with relevant financial services regulation affecting non-flow credit products in key markets.

In addition to these skills, candidates should exhibit strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative client solutions.
