Job Purpose
To deliver high‑quality, specialist‑level cardiology care to patients in line with evidence‑based clinical standards, ensuring safe, ethical, and patient‑centred outcomes while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist cardiology consultations and ongoing patient care
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic investigations (e.g. ECG, echocardiography, relevant imaging and lab tests)
- Prescribe and manage medical treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive strategies to patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
- Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
- Uphold patient safety, ethical medical practice, and Al‑Futtaim Health clinical governance standards
Skills
Candidate Profile
- DHA‑licensed or DHA‑eligible Specialist Cardiologist
- Confident managing both routine and complex cardiology cases
- Strong communication and patient‑engagement skills
- Holds an existing patient following or is confident in building one
- Team‑oriented and comfortable in a busy outpatient clinic environment
- Arabic language skills are an advantage
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS / MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Completion of a specialty qualification recognised by DHA, HAAD, or MOH (UAE)
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience at specialist level post‑qualification
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Publications in peer‑reviewed journals are highly regarded
