At AtkinsRéalis, we are seeking an experienced Project Director with a strong background in complex building projects. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with over 20 years of experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams on complex construction projects.
Your role
- Lead, plan, and direct multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of residential projects.
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and clients, enhancing AtkinsRéalis' reputation and identifying new business opportunities.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee the coordination and management of large-scale building projects, focusing on public
- realm, enabling works, and building assets.
- Ensure resource allocation meets current and future project demands, maximizing operational efficiency.
- Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety on all construction activities.
About you
- Degree-qualified in engineering or a related field (BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent); Chartered status preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in construction, with at least 7 years in roles similar to this, focused on large building projects.
- Expertise in managing large-scale, complex construction operations, particularly within the rail sector.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, capable of engaging with senior executives and managing client expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
- A deep understanding of construction techniques, project controls, and safety management.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to mobilize teams, plan effectively, and manage both technical and commercial aspects of projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- A track record of delivering high-profile, large-scale residential projects.
