·Review and evaluate electrical designs, drawings, materials, and technical submissions related to assigned complex projects to ensure compliance with required standards, codes, and technical specifications, and assess electrical works within project scope.
·Develop detailed work plans and execution programs for electrical works in complex projects, including timelines and implementation stages, in coordination with consultants and contractors, and submit them to the direct supervisor for review and approval.
·Conduct regular site visits to complex project sites to monitor the progress of electrical works, ensure the quality of materials and executed works, verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications, ensure contractor adherence to approved schedules, and review and approve the technical staff of consultants and contractors. Report any major violations, contractual breaches, or technical non-compliance to the direct supervisor to take necessary actions in accordance with approved regulations.
·Review and approve contractors’ and consultants’ payment certificates, evaluate variation orders for assigned complex projects, and review financial claims related to electrical works. Review as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documents submitted by contractors and ensure proper documentation and archiving as per department procedures.
·Act as the technical authority and reference for high-complexity electrical works, including approval of single-line diagrams, shop drawings, short-circuit calculations, protection coordination studies, and arc flash analysis. Review and approve major deviations, engineering change proposals, and value engineering decisions while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements.
·Lead energy efficiency and power resilience strategies for critical facilities, define redundancy levels, grounding philosophy, and lightning protection requirements, approve testing, commissioning, and system integration plans, and manage the electrical risk register, isolation procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and permit-to-work systems.
·Prepare official correspondence and technical responses related to electrical works in assigned complex projects, coordinate with government entities, consultants, and contractors, and prepare weekly and bi-weekly progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, risks, and recommended solutions.
·Comply with information security and data protection policies in accordance with Dubai Municipality’s data confidentiality classification system, report any violations or security breaches through official channels, participate in information security training programs, and perform any other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned.
