Job summary
The investment analyst is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities in construction, infrastructure, and real estate development projects. The role involves financial modeling, feasibility analysis, risk assessment, and supporting strategic investment decisions across large-scale construction and capital projects.
Key responsibilities
Project evaluation & feasibility
- Conduct financial feasibility studies for construction and infrastructure projects
- Evaluate project costs, revenue projections, and return on investment (ROI)
- Analyze the viability of the project
Financial modeling
- Develop and maintain detailed project finance models for construction developments
- Incorporate variables such as construction timelines, cost escalation, financing structures, and sales/leasing assumptions
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses
Budgeting & cost analysis
- Review project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow projections
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to validate assumptions
Due diligence
- Support technical, financial, and legal due diligence for new investments
- Assess contractor capabilities, project risks, and regulatory approvals
