About the role

Our client, a leader in the commodity trading industry, is seeking a trade operations specialist to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This position is based in Dubai and reports directly to the trade operations manager. The ideal candidate will support international trade operations by working closely with trading and shipping teams to ensure smooth execution of seaborne deliveries and accurate handling of trade documentation which will align successfully in the organization.

About the requirements

• Work closely with trading and shipping teams to support seaborne deliveries
• Liaise daily with suppliers, customers, agents, banks, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation matters related to international shipments
• Process letters of credit and manage related banking operations in line with UCP 600 guidelines
• Prepare invoices, arrange goods inspections, and ensure timely reporting
• Ensure all trade documentation complies with internal controls and international trade regulations

About you

• University degree, preferably in logistics or a related discipline
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. import/export operations, trade finance, banking, or related functions)
• Strong knowledge of export and import procedures, shipping documentation, documentary credits, and bank guarantees
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
