Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented ELV Draftsman to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings related to ELV systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address, Intercom, Audio Visual, and other security systems. The role requires close coordination with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate and timely project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed ELV shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.
Develop layouts, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and installation details for ELV systems.
Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to incorporate design changes and project requirements.
Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure compliance with client requirements.
Update drawings based on site conditions and engineer comments.
Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
Ensure drawings comply with local authority requirements, project standards, and company procedures.
Maintain drawing records and document control procedures.
Coordinate with other disciplines such as MEP and Civil teams to avoid design conflicts.
Assist project teams during project execution by providing drawing revisions and technical support.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Drafting, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience as an ELV Draftsman in the UAE.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
Knowledge of ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address, Intercom, and AV systems.
Familiarity with preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
Understanding of UAE standards and ELV industry practices.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure projects in the UAE.
Immediate availability to join.
Knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an added advantage.
