We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Project Engineer – Mechanical and Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in UAE.


Project Engineer - Mechanical


Reporting To Project Manager / Division Manager

  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and implementation of the Project Plan.

  • Carry out design verification of tender drawings and identify any design discrepancies or issues for escalation to the Division Managers and Project Manager.

  • Perform design and redesign activities related to HVAC, Fire Fighting, Drainage, and Water Supply systems under the guidance of the Services Division Manager.

  • Coordinate with draftsmen and ensure timely production of required shop drawings and technical drawings as per the approved project plan.

  • Resolve coordination and technical issues with electrical project engineers, coordinators, Services Division Managers, and the Project Manager.

  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical submissions, clarifications, and material-related inquiries.

  • Prepare and generate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material quantity estimations required for project execution.

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager for manpower planning and material planning throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare material requests and manpower requests in line with project schedules and execution requirements.

  • Assign and monitor work responsibilities of Site Engineers to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Inspect incoming materials at site prior to internal inspection and approval processes.

  • Supervise and monitor Site Engineers’ daily activities and progress.

  • Prepare method statements in coordination with the Project Manager and Services Division Managers and submit them to the Operations Manager / QA Department for approval.

  • Prepare technical documentation, submissions, and transmittals for submission to the main contractor through the Project Manager.

  • Coordinate with the Quality Control and HSE Departments to ensure implementation and compliance with company Quality and HSE policies.

  • Conduct initial inspections of completed mechanical installations before initiating the internal inspection process.

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors engaged on the project.

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing project handover plans and closeout activities.

  • Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.


Mechanical Design Engineer


Reporting To Design Manager

  • Develop, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Water Supply, Fire Fighting, and associated mechanical systems.

  • Verify design drawings against project specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and authority regulations.

  • Prepare and modify mechanical design drawings based on project requirements and engineering instructions.

  • Produce coordinated shop drawings in collaboration with Civil, Architectural, and Electrical disciplines.

  • Prepare detailed mechanical layouts, sections, elevations, schedules, and installation details.

  • Generate mechanical system single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and schematic drawings.

  • Prepare reflected ceiling coordination drawings for HVAC and mechanical services.

  • Develop pump room layouts and mechanical equipment room details.

  • Prepare chilled water piping layouts, condenser water piping layouts, and AC copper piping layouts.

  • Produce ductwork layouts, coordination drawings, and equipment installation details for FCUs, AHUs, DX units, package units, and chillers.

  • Prepare drainage and water supply system layouts and detailed drawings.

  • Prepare fire fighting piping layouts and coordination drawings.

  • Carry out design modifications and revisions as instructed by the Project Manager or Division Manager.

  • Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve design clashes with other disciplines.

  • Assist in preparing technical submittals, material submittals, and design-related documentation.

  • Ensure all drawings are issued in accordance with project schedules and document control procedures.

  • Support value engineering initiatives through optimized design solutions.

  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure revisions are properly recorded and controlled.

  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project closeout documentation.

Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering software to develop and revise mechanical engineering drawings efficiently.

Desired Candidate Profile

Project Engineer - Mechanical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

  • Professional engineering certification or relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical project engineering preferably within the MEP contracting industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Drainage, and Water Supply systems.

  • Experience in design review, project execution, site supervision, and engineering coordination for construction projects.

  • Prior MEP contracting experience in UAE is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of MEP project lifecycle, engineering standards, and construction practices.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise Site Engineers and subcontractors effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.

  • Professional engineering certification or relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical project engineering preferably within the MEP contracting industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Drainage, and Water Supply systems.

  • Experience in preparation and review of shop drawings for building services projects.

  • Prior MEP contracting experience in UAE is highly preferred.

  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.

  • Ability to logically analyze and coordinate mechanical drawings and layouts.

  • Experience in producing and reviewing shop drawings for mechanical services.

  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
