Role Overview A leading commodities trading organisation is seeking a Senior Analyst – Trading Solutions to support and enhance its trading technology landscape. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with Trading, Risk, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to deliver, support, and optimise critical trading applications. The successful candidate will combine expertise in Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) systems, IT service management, business analysis, vendor management, and application support to ensure the effective delivery of technology solutions across the trading value chain. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions. Support, enhance, and maintain ETRM platforms, with a particular focus on Endur/Openlink and related trading applications. Manage application support activities, incident resolution, service requests, system enhancements, and release deployments. Oversee external vendors, system integrators, and managed service providers to ensure delivery against agreed service levels and project objectives. Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams on system upgrades, environment management, testing activities, and production releases. Lead business analysis, solution design, requirements gathering, process improvement, and change management initiatives. Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring successful implementation of system changes and enhancements. Develop reporting, analytics, and management information to support business and operational decision-making. Drive continuous improvement across trading technology platforms, support processes, and service delivery frameworks.

10+ years' experience within Trading Technology, Application Support, IT Service Management, Business Analysis, or ETRM environments. Strong experience supporting and enhancing Endur/Openlink, including front, middle, and back-office functionality, workflows, and data models. Good understanding of physical commodity trading processes, ideally across crude oil, refined products, or energy markets. Experience managing third-party vendors, system integrators, and application support providers. Proven background delivering system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, testing, and production support activities. Knowledge of ITIL, Service Management, Incident Management, Change Management, and Application Lifecycle Management best practices. Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or similar platforms. Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and project coordination skills. Degree qualified in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
