Roles & Responsibilities

Build and own the backend platform for a non custodial crypto payment product: core APIs, merchant accounts, and transaction services using Node.js and TypeScript. Develop the point of sale (POS) software interface: amount entry in AED, QR code generation, and a two-state payment display (instant on chain “Payment Confirmed” and same day “AED Settled”). Build the merchant dashboard: transaction history, settlement status, analytics, and wallet/settings management. Develop a blockchain event listener that reads on chain payment events and updates the POS and dashboard in real time (the bridge between the smart contract and the user interface). Integrate a licensed third party OTC provider for AED settlement via API. Integrate transaction screening tools (e.g. Chainalysis, Scorechain) into the payment and onboarding flow. Own infrastructure and security: AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, webhooks, CI/CD, authentication, and audit logging

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5+ years in DevOps / cloud engineering

• Deep AWS expertise: VPC, IAM, KMS, ECS/EKS, RDS

• Strong Terraform and CI/CD experience

• Production experience in fintech, banking, or crypto (preferred)

• Security and compliance mindset

• PostgreSQL in production at scale

• UAE-based or willing to relocate

• Founding-engineer mindset: comfortable owning systems end-to-end with no layers above you
