The Category Manager (Order & Logistics) will play a critical leadership role in managing and optimizing procurement activities. This position focuses on international sourcing of Civil and MEP building materials, supplier negotiations, ordering, and logistics operations and strategic cost optimization. The role requires deep expertise in local and global markets, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management to ensure value creation, compliance, and long-term sustainability
Desired Candidate Profile
Lead and manage high-value negotiations and evaluations of global sourcing opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and procurement performance and oversee end-to-end ordering processes, ensuring timely placement, tracking, and delivery of materials in line with project schedules.
Establish, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with international suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and continuity of supply.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of overseas procurement transactions, from sourcing and negotiation to delivery and post-contract evaluation.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across procurement, engineering, finance, legal, and project teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.
Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, import/export regulations, customs requirements, and internal governance policies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce lead times, and achieve measurable cost savings.
Provide strategic negotiation insights and leadership to deliver cost savings across key procurement categories.
Develop, maintain, and manage a comprehensive global supplier database categorized by material type, production capacity, pricing, and performance metrics.
Conduct regular market intelligence, benchmarking, and supplier performance analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
Monitor global industry trends, pricing movements, and technological advancements; represent the organization at international trade shows and exhibitions.
Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for international procurement and negotiation processes.
Lead and finalize framework agreements and long-term supply contracts within defined timelines and governance frameworks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field;
Expertise in different foreign languages.
At least 15+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on international markets.
Demonstrable success in managing overseas procurement projects.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and advanced research methodologies.
Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
