The role We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the customer onboarding squad. You'll own the backend systems that sit at the heart of the customer journey — from initial registration through identity verification, compliance checks, and account activation. This is not a maintenance role. The platform is scaling and there is meaningful greenfield work ahead.
What you'll be doing Designing and building scalable backend services in C# that power the customer onboarding experience Owning the full lifecycle of features — from architecture decisions through to production Working closely with product, compliance, and frontend engineers to deliver a seamless onboarding flow Building integrations with third party KYC, AML, and identity verification providers Ensuring systems are performant, secure, and reliable at scale on AWSContributing to engineering standards, code reviews, and technical direction across the team
What we're looking for5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong C# and . NETSolid AWS experience — comfortable across core services (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3, API Gateway) Experience building financial or regulated platforms — fintech, banking, payments or similar Understanding of KYC, AML, or customer onboarding flows is a strong advantage Strong fundamentals — microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture Someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and cares about the quality of what they ship
