Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer role based in Dubai. The HSE Officer will monitor daily operations on the shop floor and site areas to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining records of safety audits, incident reports, and risk assessments. The role involves developing and delivering safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors, as well as overseeing the use of personal protective equipment and emergency response procedures. The HSE Officer will collaborate with production, maintenance, and management teams to implement HSE initiatives, support continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and company standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with experience applying safety regulations in industrial or manufacturing environments. Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health, including risk assessment, incident investigation, and preventive measures. Candidates should possess recognized HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH or equivalent occupational health and safety qualification. Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable local HSE laws and standards, and the ability to develop and implement safety procedures and policies. Candidates should possess effective communication and training skills to conduct safety briefings, awareness sessions, and documentation in clear written and spoken English. Candidates should possess strong observation, analytical, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and the ability to respond promptly to safety issues. A diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, and prior experience as an HSE Officer in a manufacturing or industrial setting are highly beneficial.
