Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer for a UAE-based general trading and supply chain organization operating as part of a larger diversified group, specializing in integrated procurement and distribution solutions across multiple business sectors.

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end procurement activities across food, fresh produce, FMCG, and non-food categories. The role ensures cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance management, and continuous product availability across all business units while supporting the Category Manager in achieving commercial and operational targets.

Salary: Upto 13k AED + benefits

Location : KEZAD (Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi)

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Execute procurement activities across FMCG, fresh produce, grocery, and non-food categories

• Source products from local and international suppliers based on quality, price, and availability

• Prepare and process RFQs, POs, and supplier documentation

• Support category sourcing strategy defined by Category Manager

Supplier Management

• Maintain and develop relationships with approved suppliers and vendors

• Support onboarding of new suppliers including documentation and evaluation

• Monitor supplier performance (pricing, quality, delivery timelines)

• Assist in negotiation of pricing, rebates, and commercial terms

  
  

  Inventory & Availability Control

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure continuous product availability

  • Coordinate with warehouse and operations for replenishment planning

  • Support demand planning based on sales trends and consumption data

  • Assist in reducing overstock, wastage, and expiry-related losses

Commercial Support

• Assist in price comparisons and market benchmarking

• Support implementation of pricing updates and promotional offers

• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and margin improvement

• Maintain updated supplier and product cost database

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper filing of contracts, supplier agreements, and procurement records

• Maintain ERP accuracy (POs, GRNs, supplier data)

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, audit requirements, and procurement policies

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Category Managers, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales teams

• Support product launches and new SKU introductions

• Coordinate with logistics teams for import/export shipments

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business / Supply Chain / Commerce or related field

• 3–7 years procurement experience (FMCG / wholesale preferred)

• Required Skills & Competencies

  • Procurement & sourcing experience in FMCG / HORECA / wholesale environment

  • Understanding of fresh produce + non-food categories

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

  • Basic understanding of pricing, margins, and category performance

  • ERP knowledge (SAP / Oracle / Business Central preferred)

  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and coordination skills
