Roles & Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, assembly, and refurbishment of rolling mill rolls and roll shop equipment.
Carry out roll changing, grinding coordination, bearing assembly/disassembly, and roll inspection.
Ensure rolls are prepared and available to meet production schedules.
Inspect rolls for wear, cracks, and defects, and recommend repair or replacement.
Coordinate with the rolling mill, maintenance, and production teams to minimize downtime.
Maintain roll shop records and follow all safety and quality procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in a roll shop or precision machining environment.
- Proven expertise in operating and maintaining CNC grinding machines, lathes, and balancing equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical documentation.
