Technical Manager – Steel & Aluminium Engineering | Dubai, UAE

A leading engineering and manufacturing organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead technical operations across steel and aluminium projects, ensuring engineering excellence, project delivery, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical aspects of structural steel, architectural metalwork, aluminium, and related engineering projects from concept through execution.
• Oversee engineering, detailing, shop drawings, material specifications, and technical approvals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate closely with design, estimation, production, procurement, quality, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions for fabrication, installation, constructability, value engineering, and cost optimization.
• Review project specifications, contract documents, and client requirements to identify technical risks and opportunities.
• Support tendering and estimation teams with technical input, methodology reviews, and project feasibility assessments.
• Monitor fabrication and manufacturing processes for steel and aluminium products to ensure quality, productivity, and adherence to project schedules.
• Manage technical resources, mentor engineering teams, and establish best practices across the department.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, technology adoption, quality standards, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in technical management within steel fabrication, structural steel, architectural metalwork, aluminium systems, façades, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures, aluminium systems, fabrication methodologies, welding, machining, finishing, and installation processes.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of engineering software, detailing systems, project management practices, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
