Required Skills & Experience Strong Dev Ops, platform engineering or cloud engineering leadership experience, including building teams, setting standards, coaching engineers, and driving adoption across multiple delivery teams Deep practical knowledge of infrastructure as code, configuration management, immutable infrastructure, Git Ops, CI/CD, release engineering, automated testing, and environment automation Strong understanding of Dev Ops tooling across Git platforms, CI/CD engines, artifact repositories, container registries, orchestration platforms, IaC tools, observability platforms, and security automation Experience with cloud platforms, container platforms and cloud-native operating models, including Azure, AWS, Open Shift, Kubernetes, virtualization and hybrid or sovereign cloud environments Proven ability to embed Dev Sec Ops practices, including pipeline security, policy as code, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, supply-chain controls, and secure configuration standards Experience designing self-service engineering capabilities, reusable templates, paved roads, developer enablement materials, and automation patterns that reduce dependency on central teams Strong engineering mindset with ability to define coding, scripting, automation, review, testing, documentation, and operational standards for Dev Ops engineers Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, SRE practices and continuous improvement of reliability and recovery Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to align architecture, security, operations, platform, and delivery teams around practical engineering standards Preferred background in government, regulated environments, enterprise platforms, critical digital services, cloud transformation, or large-scale engineering modernization programs
