Job Description: Senior Social Media Scriptwriter Entity: Arab Nation Location: Dubai, UAE Reports To: Head of Content Department: Content Role Overview Arab Nation is seeking a Senior Social Media Scriptwriter to join its content team in Dubai.
This is a senior editorial position requiring a candidate with a strong journalism background and proven experience in major media organizations or newsrooms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling, knowledge-based scripts for social media content, bringing editorial rigor and exceptional Arabic storytelling to every piece.
Key Responsibilities Write, edit, and refine scripts for social media content across multiple formats and platforms Translate complex, knowledge-based topics into engaging, accessible narratives for a broad audience Apply strong editorial judgment to ensure accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance of all scripted content Collaborate with the content and production teams to align scriptwriting with broader editorial and brand strategy Maintain high standards of Arabic writing quality, grammar, and storytelling craft Draw on a broad cultural and intellectual background to bring depth and credibility to content Requirements Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in leading media organizations or newsrooms At least 2 years of professional experience working in Dubai Exceptional Arabic writing and storytelling skills Strong portfolio demonstrating scriptwriting for serious, knowledge-based content Excellent analytical and editorial judgment Broad cultural and intellectual background Preferred Background Prior experience at major regional or international news organizations Demonstrated ability to write for social-first, short-form formats without compromising editorial depth
