Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Location: UAEJob Summary We are looking for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical faults in heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and trailers. Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and major/minor repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems. Carry out inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Read and interpret job cards, repair manuals, and technical documentation. Perform engine overhauls and component replacements as required. Conduct post-repair testing to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards. Report additional repair requirements to the Workshop Supervisor. Maintain accurate service records and complete all required documentation. Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment. Follow manufacturer guidelines, company policies, and Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Required Qualifications ITI or Diploma in Diesel Mechanic, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.3–4 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, or trailers. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmission systems, braking systems, suspension, and steering. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults independently. Familiarity with workshop tools and diagnostic equipment. Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures. Basic communication skills in English. Preferred Skills Experience in an authorized commercial vehicle dealership is an advantage. Knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures and standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
