Manage the day-to-day operations of car carriers and recovery vehicles, ensuring timely vehicle transportation and recovery services.
Plan and optimize routes, schedules, and fleet allocation to maximize utilization and minimize operating costs.
Supervise, train, and evaluate drivers and recovery operators, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and licensing to maintain fleet reliability and roadworthiness.
Oversee emergency vehicle recovery operations, ensuring prompt response and effective coordination with customers, insurance companies, dealerships, workshops, and roadside assistance providers.
Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions.
Monitor fleet performance through GPS and fleet management systems, tracking KPIs such as fleet utilization, on-time performance, fuel consumption, downtime, maintenance costs, and driver performance.
Manage transportation budgets, monitor operating expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring service quality, resolving operational issues, and meeting agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Prepare operational reports and present performance metrics and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, technology solutions, and operational efficiencies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management, with at least 3 years managing car carrier and vehicle recovery operations.
Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, transport regulations, vehicle recovery operations, and fleet management systems.
