Part-Time Summer Camp Teacher – Explorers

Role Overview VRAcademi is seeking an energetic and engaging part-time teacher to deliver hands-on summer camp sessions for our Explorers programme, designed for children aged 8–10. The teacher will guide students through creative, technology-based activities while ensuring that every session remains interactive, enjoyable and age-appropriate.
Key Responsibilities Deliver structured sessions in coding and robotics, game development and XR, 3D design and printing, filmmaking and podcasting Mentor students as they develop individual and group projects Explain technical concepts in a simple and engaging manner Prepare session materials, equipment and activities Encourage creativity, curiosity, teamwork and problem-solving Monitor student participation, progress and behaviour Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment Support students in completing and presenting their final projects Coordinate with the programme and operations teams regarding schedules, materials and student requirements Follow all safeguarding and child-safety procedures
Candidate Requirements Experience teaching or mentoring children aged 8–10Practical knowledge of one or more relevant areas, including coding, robotics, game development, XR, 3D design, 3D printing, filmmaking or podcasting Strong communication and classroom-management skills Patient, responsible, energetic and comfortable working with children Ability to deliver practical, project-based learning sessions Willingness to learn and work across different technologies Availability during the VRAcademi summer camp schedule
Preferred candidates: High-energy university students, recent graduates, educators or technology professionals with experience working with children.
