We are currently seeking a Project Engineering Manager, reporting directly to the Head of the Department to join our team based in UAE, Abu Dhabi.

As a Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all engineering activities across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical excellence, schedule adherence, cost efficiency, and compliance with contractual and project requirements. You will act as the focal point between engineering teams, project management, clients, vendors, and stakeholders, driving successful project execution from concept through commissioning.

In this leadership role, you will provide strategic direction to engineering teams, manage project engineering resources, oversee technical interfaces, and ensure that engineering deliverables are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.

• Lead and manage all engineering activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
• Serve as the primary engineering interface between the project team, client, licensors, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement the Project Engineering Execution Plan and ensure engineering activities are executed efficiently.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, HSE, and other specialist disciplines.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
• Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, work-hour forecasts, and productivity targets.
• Ensure timely issuance, review, and approval of engineering deliverables throughout all project phases.
• Lead engineering reviews, design workshops, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, value engineering sessions, and technical assurance activities.
• Coordinate technical interfaces among disciplines and resolve complex engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry regulations, international codes, standards, and company procedures.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing technical requisitions, vendor documentation, technical bid evaluations, and supplier performance.
• Provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Manage engineering changes, deviations, concessions, and technical queries throughout project execution.
• Facilitate effective communication between project management, engineering teams, and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best engineering practices across projects.
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated within the organization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of engineering experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refining, Energy, or Industrial sectors.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Engineering Management or Engineering Management roles on major EPC/EPCM projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
• Strong understanding of project delivery processes, engineering management systems, and project execution methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage engineering schedules, budgets, resources, and project risks.
• Experience coordinating with clients, licensors, contractors, suppliers, and global engineering teams.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering standards, international codes, and industry best practices.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contractual obligations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
• Experience with project management and engineering management tools is highly desirable.
• PMP, APM, or equivalent Project Management certification is an advantage.
