Attend interviews and technical assessments on behalf of the company/client for candidates applying to Civil and MEP trade positions.
Evaluate candidates' practical skills, tool knowledge, and theoretical understanding relevant to their specific trade.
Conduct structured trade tests/technical questioning to verify hands-on competency and job-readiness of each candidate.
Assess candidates' understanding of site practices, safety procedures, and job-specific responsibilities relevant to Civil and MEP works.
Coordinate with the Recruitment and Manpower Planning teams to align technical evaluation criteria with client requirements and project specifications.
Prepare clear, objective technical evaluation reports/scorecards for each candidate interviewed, supporting hiring decisions.
Liaise with client technical/engineering teams to stay aligned on required skill standards, grading, and evolving project needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Civil and MEP trade practices, tools, materials, and site standards across projects.
Support the onboarding process by confirming accurate trade classification and skill grading of selected candidates.
Assist Operations in identifying skill gaps within currently deployed manpower and recommend training or up skilling needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Engineering — Electrical or Mechanical (mandatory).
Minimum 3–5 years of practical/site experience across Civil and/or MEP works.
Prior experience in technical interviewing, trade testing, site supervision, or QA/QC preferred.
Strong working understanding of both Civil and MEP scope of work, and the specific job functions within each trade.
Experience within a manpower supply, contracting, or construction environment is an advantage.
Driving license is an added advantage
SKILLS REQUIRED
Strong technical knowledge spanning both Civil and MEP disciplines.
Ability to objectively assess practical and theoretical competency of tradesmen across skill levels.
Good communication and interviewing skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and sound, unbiased technical judgment.
Familiarity with UAE construction/manpower industry practices and standards (advantageous).
Basic computer literacy for preparing evaluation reports and maintaining candidate records.
