???? Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Fire Sealant Applicator to join our fire protection team. The primary responsibility of this role is to apply fire-resistant sealants and materials around service penetrations, joints, and openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to maintain fire compartmentation in buildings. This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and local regulations.

???? Key Responsibilities

Apply fire-rated sealants, foams, collars, wraps, and boards around penetrations and joints as per project specifications. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, cutting, and treating the areas before application. Read and understand firestopping plans, drawings, and method statements. Ensure that all applied products meet manufacturer and safety guidelines. Label and document each firestopping installation for inspection and quality control. Work closely with site supervisors, safety officers, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance. Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe storage and handling of materials. Follow strict health and safety procedures, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces.

✅ Requirements

Familiarity with different firestopping systems and UL-approved products. Ability to read technical drawings and understand specifications. Attention to detail and high standard of workmanship. Basic understanding of safety practices in construction and MEP environments. Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions.

???? Preferred Qualifications

Firestopping training or certification from a recognized provider (optional but advantageous). Prior experience working in commercial, industrial, or healthcare projects. Valid safety training certificates (e.g., Work at Heights, Confined Space, etc.).

Site-based work across various project locations. May involve long hours, working in confined or elevated areas. PPE and safety equipment provided by the company.
