We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer specializing in HVAC systems for marine and offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC engineering principles, marine and offshore industry standards, and project management.
Develop project plans outlining the scope, schedule, and resource requirements for HVAC projects in the marine and offshore sector.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
Perform detailed engineering and design of HVAC systems for marine vessels and offshore installations, considering specific requirements and constraints of the marine environment.
Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Review and approve design documents generated by the engineering team.
Select appropriate HVAC equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
Work closely with procurement teams to source, evaluate, and procure HVAC components and systems.
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific HVAC requirements and preferences.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a HVAC Engineer in HVAC systems for marine and offshore applications.
Strong knowledge of HVAC engineering principles, marine industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging marine and offshore environment.
